模因论视角下的典籍英译标准整体观研究

“模因”一词由理查德·道金斯在其《自私的基因》中首次提出。模因论通过苏珊·布莱克摩尔的著作《模因机器》正式成为一门学科,被运用在语言学、哲学等众多领域,取得了令人瞩目的成就。安德鲁·切斯特曼认为,翻译是一种模因的传播方式,并且翻译学属于模因论的范畴。他认为任何与翻译有关的理论都可以从模因论的角度寻找答案。当前,国内模因翻译方面的研究很活跃,有关归化异化的讨论也一直都是热点。许多学者认为归化翻译是模因传播初期的必要阶段,异化翻译是模因传播的要求与趋势。然而,以模因论视角考虑原文作者和目标语读者时,往往忽略了译者的因素,而且异化翻译是模因传播的要求与趋势实际上更是否定了译者因素,认为模因可以控制译者,译者应该服从模因的意图传播。因此,本文以模因论为理论框架,旨在从模因传播的角度探讨黄中习提出的整体观三要素,即作者、译者、读者之间的相互作用和影响,以期对整体观有所补充。本研究意义在于,在以往学者对模因论用于归化异化的翻译领域基础上,受整体观的启发,从模因论角度阐释译者创造性,使模因翻译策略多元化,从而更富有解释力。同时,将整体观与模因论有机结合,也是对翻译理论与实践研究的新尝试。本研究选择影...
