语言元功能和社会文化视角下的2016年美国总统竞选辩论研究

2016年美国总统大选是近年来争夺最激烈、火药味最浓、政治分化最严重的一次大选。被美国政界和主流媒体视为“圈外人”和“语出惊人”的特朗普在大选前并不被媒体和民意测验看好。特朗普因其大胆言论甚至被主流媒体塑造为“蠢蛋”、“疯子”形象。但特朗普却最终以304张选举人团票成功逆袭,当选美国第45任总统。大选结果令人意想不到。大选最后的那三场总统电视辩论非常值得关注。电视辩论在美国总统大选中起着至关重要的作用,是美国总统选举结果的一个重要风向标,也是候选人能否获胜的关键环节。普选中一直领先的希拉里却未能通过最后三场电视辩论锁定胜局,最终惜败于政界新客特朗普,这样的结果引人深思。人类语言是人类社会和文化中的语言,它与人类社会文化有着密切的关系。语言和社会文化是相互依存的,但同时也相互影响。语言是社会文化的载体,是人们相互交流的工具,社会文化反过来又对语言产生制约作用。“语不惊人死不休”的特朗普是如何赢得选举的?他的当选是偶然的成功,还是有更深入的原因?本文拟从语言元功能和社会文化视角来探析唐纳德·特朗普胜选的主客观原因。这也是本文的一种尝试和创新之处。首先,本文在韩礼德的元功能理论指导下,以20...
