基于HPSG约束理论对汉语“自己”与英语“self-”形式的研究

作为一种不能独立指称的照应词,反身代词在寻求其先行语过程中无疑要受到句法、语境的双重影响,因此,单纯的句法或非句法理论都不能很好地解释反身代词的约束问题,必须运用句法同非句法因素相结合的方法才能更好地对其进行分析。HPSG约束理论正是这样一种结合了句法、非句法两方面因素的综合性分析方法,它对反身代词约束问题的解释较乔姆斯基的纯句法分析法的GB理论来说更有说服力。首先本文对以往英汉语反身代词的研究进行了一次简要的梳理,但我们发现,无论是纯句法理论还是纯非句法理论都未能对英汉语反身代词做出很好的解释。反身代词的约束问题要受到句法、语义或语用等多方面的因素的影响。本文认为英、汉语中的反身代词形式可以被区分为“句法性”和“非句法性”两大类,其中,在寻求先行语过程中受句法A-原则约束的称为句法性反身代词,如汉语中的“主语倾向性”和“长距离约束”;先行语由非句法因素决定的称为非句法性反身代词,如“主人公视角”及汉语所特有的“阻断效应”和“次成分统领”。此外,本文还认为表示强调的反身代词,即“强势反身代词”,也属于非句法性反身代词,它具有以下特征:具有形容词性和副词性双重属性,可分别用来修饰强调名、...
