最简方案框架下的英汉空主语PRO研究

　　空语类是著名语言学家乔姆斯基于20世纪七十年代末八十年代初提出的一个重要概念,它在管辖与约束理论中占有重要的地位。所谓空语类,是指具有语义和句法功能,但却没有语音形式的成分。乔姆斯基认为空主语实行二分原则,有两个变体,即PRO和pro。在英语中,它们分别分布在限定句和非限定句的主语位置上。PRO分布在非限定句中的主语位置,pro分布在限定句的主语位置。空语类的研究有助于更深入了解语言的结构。限于篇幅,本文只讨论空主语PRO。 PRO自提出以来引起了国内外许多学者的关注。他们开始是在管辖与约束理论框架下对PRO进行研究。后来学者们以及乔姆斯基本人认识到管辖与约束理论存在一定的局限性,乔姆斯基随后又提出了最简方案。其中经济原则起着重要的作用,它要求所有的句法推导和表征都没有多余的成分。最简方案的问世在一定程度上就是出于语言经济的需要。迄今为止不少研究证明了最简方案的提出对语言现象的解释更加具有充分性。 本文在乔姆斯基的最简方案理论框架下,探讨英汉空主语PRO存在的依据、分布、所指以及句法关系产生的动因。一方面,本文运用相关的语义、句法和理论依据证明了英语中空主语PRO的存在。PRO分布在非...
