英国荒岛文学的生态批评:《珊瑚岛》和《蝇王》比较研究

【摘要】：英国荒岛文学是文学史中一个重要流派,其中最重要因素之一就是“岛”,在岛上人类社会的众多方面都能得到反映,如社会背景,人类生存方式,价值观,人与自然生态关系等。随着科技这把双刃剑的发展,人类获得许多便利也遭受科技运用不当而带来的众多麻烦。科技可以使人类谋利,运用不当也可以破坏自然生态环境。其实,科技如何影响人类社会和自然生态环境,取决于人类在人性指引下如何行动。人性是个多面体。《珊瑚岛》反映的是美好的一面,而《蝇王》反映的却是邪恶的一面。通过对比《珊瑚岛》和《蝇王》,我们可以进一步认识人性所产生的不同影响,认识不同的社会背景和不同的价值观。近年来,人类牺牲自然生态环境来发展经济,导致了大量自然生态问题。因此,一种新的生态批评视角逐渐流行,它探讨文学和自然的关系,也是探讨人类和自然的关系。英国荒岛文学属于展示某种生态观的文学作品,属于探索人类、文学和自然生态三者之间关系的文学流派。通过参考大量相关文献,本研究归纳法与演绎法并用,比较《珊瑚岛》和《蝇王》,以求从生态批评角度得出英国荒岛文学的启示,希望人类抑制人性之黑暗面,努力建构平衡和谐的人与自然生态的关系,使人类社会与地球生态都能得以持续健康的发展。
