《不再迷路：谷歌地图升级催生新产业并丰富现实生活》（节译）翻译实践报告

　　本次翻译实践为英译汉。原文选自谷歌地图前营销总监比尔.基尔迪（Bill Kilday）所著的《不再迷路:谷歌地图升级催生新产业并丰富现实生活》（Never Lost Again:The Google Mapping Revolution That Sparked New Industries and Augmented Our Reality）,由哈珀商业出版社于2018年5月出版。本书按时间顺序主要讲述了谷歌地图的形成、发展及未来升级方向。所译内容节选自前四章,约一万七千字。主要讲述锁眼卫星公司（Keyhole）在2004年被谷歌公司收购之前,如何在其创始人约翰.汉克（John Hanke）的经营管理下挣扎求生,研发并推广谷歌地图的前身“地球之眼”（Earthviewer）软件,亦从侧面呈现21世纪初电子绘图技术的相关境况。文章探索电子地图科技,对我国电子地图的创新升级提供借鉴意义。同时,这本纪实性书展现主人公坚持不懈、积极乐观的精神,这对创业人士尤其是互联网研发者或软件开发商具有激励启发作用,因而该书具有社会研究价值。译者翻译此书,旨在达成一个忠实原文,流畅自然的译文,同时将翻译理...
