基于语料库的中外硕士论文中逻辑连接词的对比研究

近年来,针对逻辑连接词的使用问题,国内外学者对英语学习者产出的各类体裁语篇进行了广泛研究。本研究以英语专业研究生为研究主体,从频率特征、语义分布和位置分布三个方面,通过定量与定性的研究方法,对国内外硕士论文中逻辑连接词的使用特征进行对比分析。作者分别随机收集了 20篇国内应用语言学专业的硕士论文与欧美国家高校硕博论文中由本族语者撰写的20篇应用语言学专业的硕士论文,自建了两个30万词左右的语料库——中国英语学习者语料库(CLC)和本族语者语料库(NSC)进行对比分析。研究结果表明:(1)总体上,中国英语专业学习者在硕士论文中使用逻辑连接词的频率明显高于本族语者。(2)就逻辑连接词的语义分布来看,与本族语者相比,中国英语专业学习者较多使用列举类连接词而较少使用转折类连接词。(3)就逻辑连接词的位置分布来看,中国英语专业学习者与本族语者都倾向于将逻辑连接词放在句中使用;而很少将逻辑连接词放于句尾使用。(4)通过对两个语料库的差异性分析发现,中国英语专业学习者存在过多或过少使用某种逻辑连接词的现象。学习者对于一些逻辑连接词的掌握不熟练,尤其是对于逻辑连接词在学术论文中的使用不熟悉,可能是导致...
