《给孩子的历史地理》(第四章)翻译实践报告

  本次翻译实践主要在奈达的功能对等理论指导下进行。该报告的翻译材料选自《给孩子的历史地理》一书。该书不仅是一本儿童读物,也是一本有助于了解中国历史地理的好书,作者是北大历史地理学教授唐晓峰。在本次翻译实践中,译者选取了该书第四章《环境天设,人文乃成》作为翻译材料。原文主要就环境和人文之间的关系进行了生动的讲述,并且语言简洁、准确、逻辑性强。此外,因为原文读者是儿童,所以要尽量在译文中再现出原文简单生动的语言风格。该翻译实践报告的整体框架如下。报告共四个章节。第一章为翻译项目介绍,主要包括项目背景、原文简介和项目意义。第二章是翻译过程,主要讲述翻译前的准备事项、翻译过程中的主要难点和翻译后的校对与修改。第三章是翻译案例分析,这是本次翻译实践报告的核心章节。译者主要以尤金·奈达的功能对等理论为指导,从词汇层面、句法层面和语篇层面对具体的翻译案例进行分析,试图探索译文与原文之间的对等关系。第四章是本文的结语,包括译者在本次翻译实践中的一些思考和收获。
