十九世纪四十年代至二十世纪二十年代旧金山唐人街的堂及其有组织犯罪

　　本文研究的是十八世纪四十年代到十九世纪二十年代旧金山唐人街的“堂”和有组织犯罪。文章尝试从回顾这个时期旧金山特定历史环境和研究在美国落地根的中国文化的角度出发，解读“堂”及其有组织犯罪在历史上长期存在并发展的原因。 本文共分为六部分。第一部分为引言，重在阐述有组织犯罪的定义以及在全世界范围内和美国唐人街的概况。本章从界定名词概念入手，简要介绍了一些著名的有组织犯罪集团。并着重介绍了“堂”在海外的唐人街的非法活动的概况。 第一章阐述的是“堂”的作用，以及唐人街社会秩序的构成及管理。“堂”在最初是一些以互助为目的而成立的宗亲会和同乡会。其主旨是为了广大中国同胞提供入境，安顿和工作生活等方面的帮助。和许多其他的唐人街一样，旧金山唐人街的社会秩序由两部分制约。一部分是合法的秩序，掌控着日常的政治，经济和其他社会行为；另一部分是不合法的秩序，管辖着街区的控制权以及街区内不法活动的经营权。而这两部分分别由不同的组织进行管辖，这其中也有一部分权限的交叉。 第二章讲述的是旧金山唐人街“堂”的发展以及他们的犯罪形式。本章讨论的是“堂”的势力在前后八十年中壮大的轨迹，以及其有组织犯罪是如...
