功能对等理论视角下《赠星者》（节选）翻译实践报告

　　当今社会,随着各个国家和民族之间的交流逐步加深,文化的交流与融合也越来越频繁。而在此背景下,仍然存在一种传统的文化交流方式,即文学。该翻译实践报告以英国作家乔乔·莫伊斯的历史小说《赠星者》的前三章为翻译材料,以美国翻译理论家奈达的功能对等理论为指导依据,根据笔者汉译《赠星者》的实践,探讨功能对等理论在历史小说翻译中的应用。该书作者乔乔·莫伊斯基于美国历史,用小说的形式将大萧条时期“马背上的图书馆”这一历史再现。小说描写了那个时代背景下,不屈不挠的女性在特殊时期所表现的追求知识的坚毅。本翻译实践报告将翻译理论运用至实践中,对词义对等和句法对等的具体例子进行了分析,探索了相关翻译策略,使译文语言更加符合目标读者的阅读习惯。小说的语言丰富,情节细腻,人物形象生动,而历史小说又要基于历史真实性,因此,在翻译小说实践中,精准再现原文内容尤其重要,以实现功能对等的目的。本篇翻译报告共分为五个部分:翻译任务介绍、理论框架、翻译过程、案例分析和结论。笔者希望以此报告能为类似文本的翻译和研究提供助益。
