初中英语教材Go for it!中的性别角色研究

当代社会是女性意识觉醒,女性角色活跃的历史时期。如何将性别观点纳入教育已成为教育研究领域的热门话题。学校教科书作为文化的重要载体,在决定学生对社会性别角色的看法方面发挥着至关重要的作用。英语作为中学的必修科目,是中学课程的重要组成部分。因此,研究英语教科书中性别角色的表现是必要和有价值的。本论文选取2013年人民教育出版社出版的新课标初中英语教材Go for it!(共5本)作为研究的对象,首先从批评话语分析的视角,采用定量分析的方法,对文本(包括听力文本)和插图中的男女角色出现的频次、男女职业角色的数量、男女角色第一位出现的频次、Ms.和Mrs.出现的次数、男女角色所用的修饰语、男性通用语和分类系统等方面的呈现情况进行了统计和对比;其次从多模态话语分析的视角,采用定性分析的方法,来分析插图中的两性角色在位置、着装、姿态和面部表情等方面的差异。分析结果显示:(1)男女角色在阅读、对话、插图和录音文本中出现的频次分别为:78/59、223/235、681/525、964/858,男性角色在整体上多于女性角色;(2)男女角色职业种类的数量为24/7,男性角色的职业种类远远多于女性角色,且就...
