JA酒店集团网站英汉翻译实践报告

  随着经济全球化的深入发展和人们生活水平的提高,近年来中国的出境游人数逐年攀升,不少国外的酒店开始把中国的出境游人群视为其营销宣传的目标对象,推出中文版的酒店网站,国外度假酒店网站的英汉翻译变得越来越重要。本实践报告基于作者对JA酒店集团网站的英汉翻译实践,总结了作者在翻译过程中遇到的翻译问题,主要涉及专有名词的翻译,具有呼唤功能的标题、名词性短语和祈使句的翻译,以及复合句和被动句的翻译三个方面。具体包括:(1)对宗教节日名称、历史遗址名称以及职业名称等专有名词只作音译或只作直译未能向译入语读者传递隐含的文化信息;(2)原文中的标题、独立成句的名词性短语和祈使句,带有强烈的呼召和广告宣传色彩,直译的译文缺乏感染力;(3)对含有修饰成分的复合句以及被动句,照原文的语序和语态直译无法实现译入语的连贯性和流畅性。根据彼得·纽马克的文本类型理论,酒店网站文本兼具信息型文本和呼唤型文本的特征,纽马克主张对这两种类型的文本应使用交际翻译方法,力求译文对译入语读者所产生的交际效果接近原作对原语读者的效果。作者在交际翻译的指导下,针对上述翻译问题提出了三种主要解决办法,包括:意译(具体包括增译、释义、拆...
