《大中华文化的汉语根基探究》（节选）汉英翻译实践报告

语言包含着丰富的文化信息,是文化交流和传承的工具,也是一个国家和民族文化的重要标志。汉语是中华文化的重要组成部分,中华文化的翻译可以带领更多的读者更好地领略中华文化。此次翻译任务受杨英法教授委托,完成其著作《大中华文化的汉语根基探究》前两章节的汉译英翻译。该书以汉语作为主要研究对象,主要介绍了汉语、汉字的由来,以及对中华文化的影响。译本将于2020年下半年由花山文艺出版社出版。原材料内容的文本类型属于信息型文本,信息型文本具有真实、准确等特点。因此,译文需要准确、忠实地传达原文内容。中英之间存在较大语言差异,使得翻译过程不能只是字词间死板的对应。奈达提出的功能对等理论注重译文的自然对等,强调目标语读者间的反应,因此笔者选择功能对等理论作为此次翻译实践的指导理论,旨在讨论功能对等理论在文化英译过程中的可行性及其指导意义。本报告共分为五个部分:任务描述、过程描述、理论框架、案例分析、实践总结。基于功能对等理论的指导,译者结合具体例句分别从词汇、句法和篇章层面进行深入分析。词汇层面,笔者运用音译、加注及直译等翻译方法来处理时间、文化负载词、四字成语。句法层面,笔者运用省略、增译、整合、转译等...
