翁显良古诗英译风格研究

本研究借鉴语料库研究方法,以定量分析为基础来描述翻译风格,是一项以分析、归纳与解释为主的描述性研究,旨在厘清翁显良古诗英译风格及影响其风格形成的因素。本研究的首要任务在于厘清什么是翻译风格以及如何将翻译风格可操作化,从而能对其进行定量分析。结合前人的研究成果,本研究将翻译风格定义为一种在同一译者的不同文本中可被识别的翻译方式,一种在语言与非语言层面的连续性选择。根据此定义,本文发现翻译风格具备三重属性,分别是:动作属性、文本属性、个人属性。根据这三重属性,本文提取了观察翻译风格的三个维度。观察维度一以翻译风格的动作属性为立足点,关注翻译过程,具体表现为分析译者在翻译过程中针对不同要素所采取的策略或方法,重点分析意象和典故两个参数。通过观察与统计,本文得出了以下结论:其一,在翻译普世意象时,译者更倾向于使用改译与直译;在翻译民族或文化特有意象时则更倾向于使用文化替代与意译。其二,译者最倾向于使用意译来翻译典故。观察维度二则以翻译风格的文本属性为立足点,关注翻译产品。具体表现为,其一,对比原文与译文,观察它们分别是如何表现诗篇布局、韵律以及节奏等诗学元素,以及诗歌标题等文本元素;其二,对前...
