《格列佛游记》与《镜花缘》文体特征比较研究

  《格列佛游记》是十八世纪英国著名讽刺作家乔纳森·斯威 夫特的讽刺名作,《镜花缘》是中国晚清时代讽刺作家李汝珍的 代表作。两部小说分别由两位作家依照各自的民族文化传统写成, 写作年代也相隔久远,然而,两位作家在这两部作品中却表达了 极为相似的思想观点。小说的主题、文体、结构以及作者所采取 的艺术手法都惊人地相似。 斯威夫特和李汝珍所生活的时代都没有什么言论自由可言 他们都对自己所处的社会现实不满,主张进行变革,可在当时的 条件下又不能公开表达自己的思想,因此,不约而同地,他们都 采取了一些策略:采取游记的形式,通过想象和夸张,讲述主人 公在海外游历的故事。当然,千奇百怪的海外国度里发生的那些 荒诞不经的故事无一不是现实世界中某个侧面的反映。现实生活 中人类的劣根性,经过作者生花妙笔的描写,就变成读者眼中离 奇可笑的故事。 《格列佛游记》和《镜花缘》两部小说都涉及了政治、文化、 教育、道德、伦理等社会生活的方方面面。斯威夫特和李汝珍都 在自己的小说中批判了社会的阴暗面,表达了自己对理想社会和 美好未来的憧憬。 当然,这两部小说在具体细节的安排上也不尽相同。例如, 两...
