福克纳战争小说的创作研究

威廉·福克纳是20世纪最著名的作家之一。几十年来，他的作品被中外学者广泛地研究，其中从意识流、现代主义、女性主义、南方传奇的角度研究居多。本文从一个全新的视角，运用创伤理论，探究福克纳战争小说的创伤主题。本文首先梳理了创伤理论的发展，以战争创伤为切入点，选取了福克纳的5部长篇小说《士兵的报酬》、《沙多里斯》、《押沙龙，押沙龙！》、《八月之光》和《寓言》，分章节论述福克纳小说人物在继承或承受的战争创伤后的典型特征。除了绪论和结论以外，本文主体部分一共有三章。第一章题为“战争创伤的表现：《士兵的报酬》和《沙多里斯》”，探讨了马洪、沙多里斯等一战退伍老兵，作为战斗英雄回到家乡后，面临家乡人的虚荣和冷漠，采取了或是沉默或是与老百姓格格不入的生活方式，论证了战争给退伍老兵带来的身体和心理的双重创伤。他们的这种反应被称之为创伤后应激障碍，在这两部小说中，退伍老兵们都表现出创伤后应激障碍中的失语或者无语的状态。失语可能主要是战争带来的身体创伤导致他们失去了语言能力，可是无语却是他们主观选择的应对战争创伤的行为。第二章题为“战争创伤的继承：《押沙龙，押沙龙！》和《八月之光》”，重点研究小说中遭受到美国...
