权力存在：福柯的权力观点对海丝特·白兰异化的解读

自《红字》问世以来,它不仅受到了当时大众的欢迎,而且它的魅力百余年来仍然经久不衰,当然小说的各方面也受到了评论:小说的主题,字母A的象征意义,清教思想,霍桑的女权观等方方面面已为批评家所涉及。本文作者试图从米歇尔·福柯的权力理论来解读海丝特·白兰与社会和其他人之间的异化。本文共分五部分,第一部分对作者霍桑的生活,他的清教观,家庭背景对他小说创作的影响,文学风格等方面做了介绍,同时介绍了小说故事梗概,读者对小说的反映情况;第二部分分别对国内外对小说尤其是对女主人公各方面的研究状况进行了回顾,第三部分对本文要应用的福柯的权力理论进行了介绍。福柯的权力观颠覆了人们对权力的传统的认识,在福柯看来,权力不是压制性而是生产性的,权力存在于任何两个有差异的个体的之间,存在于社会的每一个角落。同时分析了论文中要用的异化概念,限定了作者应用的异化概念,权力和异化是本文在讨论部分将用到的概念.第四部分在权力理论的引导下,作者分析了海丝特心理,意识上的异化,和她的情人,丈夫,甚至女儿的异化,引起海丝特异化的原因即:无所不在的权力在社会中发挥重要作用,海丝特在权力关系中处于劣势地位,被权力所控制,因此权力使她...
