《白鲸》是由美国著名小说家赫尔曼.麦尔维尔创作的一部描述“人与自然,人与人,人与自我”三重关系的作品,它被看成是一部十九世纪美国文学中包罗万象的百科全书。这部史诗般的宏伟著作以大题材、大手笔手法描述了人类与鲸鱼之战的悲剧式的海洋破坏之旅,包含了作者对于自然、人类以及社会关系的思考和理解。赫尔曼.麦尔维尔的《白鲸》充满了对于生态危机的超前意识,蕴含了丰富的生态启迪。在生态批评出现以前,对《白鲸》的研究,学者和专家主要把焦点集中在语言、结构、写作方法以及亚哈悲剧性英雄主义等方面对其进行研究。之后,他们才开始用生态的方法对作品进行阐释,但是大多数人仅仅集中在探讨人与自然关系的角度上来揭示:人类仇恨自然,只会带来不可避免的悲剧,人类和自然应该保持和谐的关系,揭示生态危机,并呼吁生态保护等等,缺少对生态问题深刻的思考和全面的探讨。本文根据鲁枢元先生对生态的分类,通过“人与自然,人与人,人与自我”的三重关系来阐释《白鲸》中的生态意识。本文共分为六个部分:引言部分简要介绍了学术界对赫尔曼.麦尔维尔《白鲸》的研究,通过介绍本文与前人在研究侧重点上的不同之处,指出生态三重关系研究的意义,说明本文的价值所...
