对托马斯·哈代作品中人物“苔丝”的跨性别分析

　　托马斯·哈代是英国文学史上杰出的小说家和诗人。他在维多利亚时期创作了大量具有地方色彩的小说,赢得了国际声誉。《德伯家的苔丝》是他最受欢迎的作品之一,因栩栩如生地塑造了女主人公苔丝而吸引了一代又一代的读者。本文将性别视角纳入叙事分析,对这部经典的男性文本进行细读。为增强分析的说服力度,本文把另外二部经典文本:哈代的《无名的裘德》和美国女作家凯特·肖班的《觉醒》同时纳入分析视野,通过对比阅读,从叙事视角、叙事声音和情节安排三个方面对“苔丝”的塑造过程进行分析,并得出结论:托马斯·哈代作为一位男性作家没有超越他的性别局限;他对苔丝的人物塑造折射出强烈的男性倾向,这是读者尤其是女性读者在阅读过程中应该注意到的。
