普洛斯帕罗：《暴风雨》中的东方主义者

　　作为莎士比亚的最后一个剧本,社会环境赋予了《暴风雨》很多的意义。很多的批评家从不同的角度对它进行了多方面的分析。后殖民理论的批评家对它进行分析以后,就引发了一个强烈的对抗,因为传统的理论家认为《暴风雨》不是一个后殖民文本,不可以把赛义德的东方学运用到文本分析中。本论文以赛义德的东方学为依据,按照东方主义者的言行和思想规范对普洛斯帕罗进行分析。 普洛斯帕罗的东方主义者身份体现在他对岛上居民进行的物质和精神的统治以及他对自己的女儿米兰达的教育上。但是他最终失败了,放弃了他的权力和对其他人的控制。从这一点上看,赛义德在抵制和推翻东方主义的权威上所表现出来的信心是可以理解的。
