丽塔·海华斯背后——美国通俗小说《丽塔·海华斯和肖申克的救赎》的原型分析

论文以原型批评理和符号学分析法为理论基础，对美国当代著名通俗小说家史蒂芬．金的短篇小说《丽塔．海华丝与肖申克的救赎》的形式(结构，叙事)、人物，和主题进行具体分析，以探讨小说在主体，人物和结构方面的文学原型。《丽塔．海华丝与肖申克的救赎》是其为数不多的非惊悚题材的小说。该小说一经出版就大受欢迎，随后被收录在金的长篇小说集《四季》中，并与l995年被改编为电影《肖申科的救赎》而搬上银屏。电影一经公映便大受关注，并成为95年奥斯卡的获奖热门影片。施蒂芬．金业亦凭此走上了他创作事业的高峰。一直以来对金的作品，应该说评论界还是很关注的，也有过很多对于《丽塔．海华丝与肖申克的救赎》的文学评论，但评论多重点与由其改变而成的电影《肖申科的救赎》。 本论文在运用原型批评和符号学分析的基础上对小说的文学原型进行了具体深入的探讨。论文分为五部分。第一部分概论主要介绍关于小说《丽塔．海华丝与肖申克的救赎》的相关文献综述和原型批评及符号学分析的主要理论观点和分析方法。第一章至第三章就小说的人物主题和结构进行了细致的分析。 第一章运用原型批评和符号学分析的具体方法分析了小说的主要人物，讨论了小说人物方面的基督教...
