中美会话风格对比研究：以《武林外传》和《老友记》为例分析

语言在生活中的地位和作用是显而易见的。人们生活学习工作都离不开语言在其中起到的沟通理解的作用。文化作为语言的载体,也有着重要的作用。越来越多的学者把文化以及跨文化交际的研究与语言结合起来。本文从跨文化交际的视角来研究会话风格理论。美国学者Tannen对于会话风格的研究取得了突出成就。Yule也在自己的《语用学》书中描述了两种不同的会话风格:高融入性风格和高体贴性风格。Tannen的会话风格理论详细具体到会话主题研究和不同会话策略的使用。Yule的高融入性风格的特征表现为在交际中非常积极,语速相对较快,经常发生重叠,打断或迫不及待地说出对方想要说的话;高体贴性风格的特征表现为在交际中语速较慢,不期待重叠,避免打断对方。本文主要以Tannen的会话风格以及会话策略理论,以及Yule的两种会话风格为基础,同时结合文化价值观理论中的集体主义和个人主义文化定位理论,对中美情景喜剧《武林外传》和《老友记》这两个情景剧的会话风格作对比研究。通过跨文化对比分析,本文得出了以下几点结论:第一,由于受集体主义影响,中国人选择会话主题相对抽象,没有受个体主义影响的美国人那么具体;同时美国对会话的选择更自由,...
