传统中医术语可译限度和读者关照问题研究

　　传统中医术语的英译为传播中国传统医学文化,为世界人民的健康服务架起了桥梁。随着国内外对传统中医术语的翻译交流不断加深,世界范围内的关注越来越多,传统中医术语的翻译研究变得越来越重要。在翻译传统中医术语的过程中,各种语言及文化差异造成的不可译现象往往困扰着译者。本文试图以此探讨传统中医术语英译中对不可译现象的读者关照问题。在接受理论引入到翻译研究之后,读者的地位和作用逐渐受到重视和关注,这种读者中心论范式的理论观点,为翻译研究提供了新的理论视角。由于语言具有承载和储存文化内容的功能,因此,每一种语言都必然拥有大量反映该语言民族所特有的文化事物的词语。当译者遇到这种词语时,由于译语中缺少相应的语言符号来指称这种特有的文化事物,就必须创造某种符号来加以指称,但因这一语言符号尚未得到译语读者的认可,因此译者往往要采取一些辅助手段如加注才能使译语读者理解其文化所指。因此初次翻译时,这些反映某一语言民族所特有的文化事物的词语往往是不可译的,有时原语中的一个词可以在译语中同时出现几个译名。但随着时间的推移和文化交流的加深,受欢迎的译名便会在译语中扎下根,逐渐固定下来,得到译语读者的认可,最终成为可译...
