皮姆多元因果论视角下中国新时期（1978-1989）科幻小说译介研究

【摘要】：作为边缘文学的科幻小说于19世纪末20世纪初引入中国,在其后的大半个世纪中,文人和学者对国外的科幻小说的翻译可谓历经波折。十一届三中全会以后,中国开启了各方面全面发展的新时期,科幻小说的翻译也迎来了一次高潮。国内对科幻小说译介的研究大多集中在清末民初阶段,对新时期科幻翻译的研究相对较少。在已有的研究中,大多数研究者是对不同版本的译文进行比较分析,而缺少对整个时期翻译情况的全面考量。因此对新时期科幻小说的译介进行研究十分有必要。皮姆的翻译多元因果论提出了译史研究的多元视角,将四种原因综合起来进行考虑,将翻译史看作立体的、变化的、动态而非平面的、静态的或机械性的历史。本文拟以皮姆的多元因果论为理论视角,从材质因、目的因、形式因和动力因四个层面探析促成本次翻译高潮出现的动因。在材质因方面,主要是原语文本的大量出现(西方科幻发展的黄金时期)、改革开放后国内有利的引进环境以及原著作者和文本题材对原语文本选择的影响,其中非语言的材质因占据重要地位;在目的因方面,从译文的使用者和接受者的角度进行阐释,译本的使用者力图改变科幻小说在中国的畸形地位,还原科幻小说的文学本质,接受者在文化大革命后迫切需要满足其阅读需求;在形式因方面,主要从翻译规范角度分析,当时影响较大的仍然是严复的“信”、“达”、“雅”;最后,从译者和出版机构入手探讨了动力因。最后本文得出新时期科幻小说翻译高潮现象的出现,是材质因、目的因、形式因和动力因多种因素合力而成,其中任何一种原因都不能缺少,且都不能成为具有排他性质的主导因素。
