【摘要】：著名的诗人、剧作家叶芝为爱尔兰四位诺贝尔文学奖得主之一,他的诗华丽而梦幻,集中体现了传统英文诗向现代诗、浪漫主义向现代主义的过渡。叶芝早年的作品常取材于爱尔兰民间神话传说,主要包括《凯尔特的薄暮》、《苇间风》等。后来,受到爱尔兰民族运动及庞德、威廉·布莱克等人的影响,他逐渐厌恶资本主义,并对田园生活产生向往。叶芝后期诗作更加个性化,主要题材为家人、人生及时光流逝,本文的《塔楼》一诗取自他的后期作品,集中体现了他对时光及人生的感慨,抒写了死亡面前人性的弱点。本文根据莱考夫的概念隐喻理论,将《塔楼》中的隐喻分为结构隐喻、实体隐喻和方位隐喻,分析了这些概念隐喻的表现形式以及它们所体现的认知文体特点。通过研究主要得出以下结论：(1)在叶芝的浪漫主义诗歌《塔楼》中,实体隐喻是最普遍的隐喻类型。(2)《塔楼》中的概念隐喻大都是围绕时间和人生来设置的,如时间是金钱,童年是容器,年轻人是狗,老年是负担,死亡是沉睡等。(3)《塔楼》中的概念隐喻主要有前景化、模糊性、连贯性等文体特点。前景化包括平行结构和语言变异；多义现象及爱尔兰文化让诗歌语言具有模糊性；而单个隐喻内部的连贯及各个隐喻之间的连贯性则让概念隐喻与诗歌主题紧密联系起来。本文对《塔楼》中概念隐喻认知文体特征进行的研究,证明了概念隐喻理论的强大解释力,希望此研究对其他诗歌及其他文体的研究有一定帮助。
