意识形态对晚晴时期《道德经》译本的操控

　　《道德经》，又称《老子》，道家经典之作，相传为春秋末期的楚国人老聃所著，是老子哲学思想的言论集，系统地阐述了老子的宇宙观、政治观和认识论。在中国乃至世界的哲学史、文学史及文化史上占有举足轻重的地位。 《道德经》在世界上的传播和发展离不开其英文译本，而其最早的英文译本便出自传教士之手。本论文根据勒菲弗尔的“译者受主流意识形态和诗学标准影响会对原文信息进行重写”的理论，分析了基督教背景下的译者对《道德经》的诠释。选取了以传教为政治目的的传教士湛约翰、忠实的基督教信徒哲学家保罗·卡鲁斯以及由传教士转型为汉学家的理雅各各自的译本为例。论文重点探讨了译者所处的时代背景，基于何种翻译动机，产生何种意识形态，进而对其《道德经》译本做出了怎样的理解和阐发。全面地将译者的思想特点、时代特征与译本相关联，分析意识形态对作者翻译的操控。 最后，论文得出结论，由于中西方文化背景的差异，不同译者的特殊身份及翻译动机，他们会不同程度地将译文涂抹上基督教的文化色彩，充分说明了社会的意识形态及译者的意识形态会影响译者的译文。
