会展口译中的障碍及解决方法

【摘要】：随着经济和文化间的跨国交流越来越频繁,会展行业迅猛发展。但是由于语言和文化的差异性导致会展中来自不同国家的参展商之间存在着沟通障碍,因此口译工作者在会展中扮演着重要角色。学者们在会议、旅游、法律和医疗等口译领域均有广泛研究,但在会展口译方面的探讨并不充分。因此笔者希望就这一方面做相关研究。本文为以笔者在第25届北美高中出国留学会展(成都)中担任口译译员的工作为研究对象。口译过程中笔者遇到多种口译障碍。在分析这些口译障碍的基础上,有以下三个发现：第一,口译障碍是由语言和文化因素而导致的。语言方面的因素包括：外国口音,专业术语和语法的使用。文化因素包括对不同的社会习俗和价值观的理解。第二,为克服语言障碍笔者推荐采用以下方法：学习并了解外国口音,掌握笔记法和图示法,利用现场工具如展板、海报、宣传手册和传单以及采用省略、类比和音译这类翻译方法。第三,针对因文化因素而导致的口译障碍,应从以下两个方面来解决：了解源语言和目的语言国家的文化规范并在口译工作前掌握会展的背景知识。以上发现是通过分析笔者所经历的23个口译例证而得出的。本文希望通过对会展口译的研究,能为应对会展口译中的障碍提供一些有效的解决方法。
