“欢迎中国”:澳大利亚旅游业对华政策与举措新趋势

  中国赴澳游客在过去的二十年间迅猛增长。从21世纪开端以来,澳洲政府一直在强调中国市场的重要性。鉴于近几年中国对澳大利亚旅游市场的影响力持续增加,澳方不断调整其对华旅游政策,以促进澳洲入境旅游的发展。2013年,中国取代英国跃升为澳大利亚第二客源国(仅次于新西兰)。在此之前,中国已经连续三年成为澳大利亚入境旅游消费第一国,这意味着中国市场对于澳大利亚而言愈发重要。然而,就旅游市场而言,中国是世界上最重要也是最特别的市场之一。鉴于中国市场的独特性,澳大利亚的旅游业必须更加契合中国游客的需求。已有的一些研究概略地阐述和分析了中国赴澳旅游的一些特点和原因,但是没有研究关注到近年来澳方旅游业为适应中国市场所作的战略上的调整和出现的新趋势,也没有研究关注澳大利亚联邦和地方政府的政策和计划如何体现这一战略的变化,以及这一战略如何演化为更清晰具体的“欢迎中国”的概念。而本文着重关注了“欢迎中国”这一概念的提出和发展,这一新概念源于中国市场的独特性,也反过来进一步促使澳大利亚政府乃至整个旅游业适应中国市场的独特性。过往10多年里,澳大利亚为适应中国市场独特性的努力是前所未有的,尽管上世纪90年代日本也曾...
