词汇衔接理论在翻译教学中的应用

  传统的大学英语翻译教学课堂讲解笼统枯燥,过多地注重逐字逐句的翻译,教学缺乏切实有效的方法和理论指导,老师倾向于通过考试分数来评定学生的翻译水平。目前,翻译教学停留在一个肤浅地用来比较源语与译语的异同的层面,这不仅导致了学生的翻译兴趣降低,而且使翻译教学停滞不前。 韩礼德和哈桑提出的衔接理论着力于探讨系统的翻译方法,其中的词汇衔接理论是通过词的重复、同义、反义、上下义、互补搭配等关系实现的。由于语言运用的特点不同,词汇衔接最常见的偏误就是词不达意,或是词语不搭配。本文尝试在大学英语翻译教学中运用词汇衔接理论,并通过教学实验以验证其能够提高学生的翻译兴趣和翻译能力。 该实验在齐鲁工业大学(原山东轻工业学院)进行了为期10周的教学实验。实验包括四个步骤:1)前测。笔者通过对信息与计算机学院2010级200名学生的翻译测试,挑选出翻译水平最接近的两个班级作为对照组和实验组。两个班级分别编号为一班和二班,随机选取一班为控制班,二班为实验班。一班人数为35人,二班为40人。另外,进行了实验前的问卷调查,全面了解学生对翻译教学的兴趣态度。2)教学过程。两个班所用教学材料相同,教学时间也相同。不同的是...
