《中国西北发展报告(2019)》由我国西北地区陕西、甘肃、宁夏、青海、新疆五省区社会科学院联合组织专家学者撰写的反映中国西北地区改革发展的综合性年度研究报告,是研究西北地区经济、政治、社会、文化、生态文明“五位一体”建设中共同面临的重大理论和实践问题的重要科研成果。该书综合篇中《改革开放40年来中国西北地区经济发展报告》一章为本次翻译实践任务,旨在为国内外相关从业人员提供中国西北地区经济发展状况的有效信息,进而为西北地区经济发展赢得更多机遇。本报告以《改革开放40年来中国西北地区经济发展报告》英译为例,首先从词汇、句法和语篇三个层面对原文进行具体分析,根据赖斯的文本类型理论,这一官方经济类报告具有信息类文本的鲜明特征,从而探讨相应翻译方法。在词汇层面,对文中的经济类术语及中国特色政治经济热词进行统一,并借助术语库等工具手段和官方文件语料进行查证,保证用词的严谨客观;对于汉语文本经常使用的范畴词,采用增译和减译的技巧灵活处理。在句法层面,鉴于英汉语在句法和语篇衔接上的差异,对于无主语的句子,翻译时需根据语境选择增加主语;对于平行句和流水句,则通过简化结构或信息重组,译成逻辑关系清晰的英语...
