基于BNC的兼类词词性频率的计量研究

英语词汇的词性存在兼类现象,例如在词典中我们发现有些词具有多个词性,这些词被称为兼类词。显然,在实际使用中,一个兼类词的各个词性被使用的频率并不相等,其分布规律,只能在动态文本中观察到。因此,本文基于BNC语料库采用计量方法研究英语兼类词各个词性之间的频率分布,并使用统计模型描述其数学特征。首先,我们从BNC语料库中提取出所有的兼类词,根据兼类词的兼类度,即一个词所承载的词性个数,进行分类,然后观察兼类词各词性的频率分布情况,观察发现,任一兼类词的各个词性之间,其频率呈不均匀分布,其中频率最高者,我们称为主导词性。其次,我们把兼类词划分为名词集合、动词集合、形容词集合等十种词性的集合,并对这十种词性集合中各主导词性的词频分布情况进行研究,发现除了在动词集合和形容词集合中,使用频率最高的是名词外,其余所有词性集合中使用频率最高的主导词性是它们本身。在这十种词性集合中,主导词性的词频和秩序之间的关系符合Popescu-Altmann定律。第三,为了深入研究频率集中的现象,我们采取计量语言学的方法,引入重复率和相对重复率来度量兼类词的频率集中于主导词性的程度,即频率集中度。通过观察不同兼类度...
