美国外语语境化教学综述与启示

  我国外语教学虽已经历了长久的发展,但仍面临诸多难题,如多年来外语教学的“费时低效”,既教学未能达到外语实践的需要。目前英语课程改革迫切需要解决的问题有:在知识教授中,过分强调语法和词汇;忽视学生在真实情景中运用语言交际。因此,改革的目标是建立一个课程标准,发展学生的综合语言运用能力;关注学生的个体差异,激活学生和自己相关的生活经验和认知水平;使学生体验,实践,参与合作学习;挖掘积极的生活态度、思维能力、实践能力;通过语言学习增强文化意识和自主性。美国的教师在上世纪80年代也遇到了类似的教学问题,但他们对此进行了教育改革,并取得了巨大的成就。他们的理论和实践对我国目前的外语教学改革有一定的借鉴和参考作用。通过探讨语境化教学在美国外语教学的发展,作者对这一领域的研究成果进行总结,并以此利用国外的经验为中国的教学实践提供有益的参考。语境化教学中,教师将真实的情景与具体的概念关联在一起,鼓励学生将知识与生活情景中的学习诉求相联结,并积极的在家庭成员、公民、工人等角色中实践教学。基于建构主义,人本主义和认知科学,本文对语境化教学的定义、成分、特点及其原则进行了分析,对美国语境化教学思潮的发展进行...
