学术论文中英语长句的翻译实践报告 ——以《社会、水、科技》为例

　　由于中国人和英国人的思维模式及中英在社会、文化等各个方面的差异,其句法结构也存在巨大差异。因此,根据英汉句法结构之间的差异,忠实通顺地翻译学术论文中的英语长句需要进一步探讨。本文作者以《社会、水、科技》（节选）为翻译实践材料,在英汉句法结构对比的基础上,从形合与意合、繁复与简短、替代与重复三个方面出发,针对原文中出现的典型的英语长句,分析其特点,探讨分译、转译和增译三种翻译策略的运用。以期在翻译学术论文中的长句时,忠实、通顺地传达学术论文的信息和内容,便于目标语读者更好地理解原文。
