语用顺应视角下习近平“一带一路”讲话的英译策略

随着全球化进程不断推进与中国综合国力的不断增强,中国的政策导向及发展大势受到越来越多的关注。十八大以来,习近平同志在一系列讲话中提出了“一带一路”倡议并将其作为国家战略;这些讲话先后翻译为英文、法文、阿拉伯文等。“一带一路”倡议提出以来,受到了沿线许多国家的关注、认可和支持;一些国家对该倡议也存在一定的误解。这种误解有碍中国“一带一路”倡议顺利推进,减缓国际合作有序推进。为了更好地宣传“一带一路”倡议,正确地理解倡议的内涵与理念,本文以习近平“一带一路”系列讲话中英文本为研究对象,以对比、对照的研究手法,尝试从Jef Verschueren语用学“顺应论”的角度,着力研究文本在外译过程中,哪些因素影响文本的正当理解和有效传播,在翻译过程中应如何处理这些不利因素。研究表明,就文体特征和语篇特征而言,“一带一路”系列演讲具有如下特征:代表国家意志、彰显个人风格、善用四六句、引经据典、“一逗到底”。文本在英译过程中,译者往往面临以下困惑:如何自然转换语言;如何准确传达原意;如何删减文化信息。若处理失当,往往影响文本的正当理解,也影响文本的可接受性。从顺应论研究角度,翻译过程中,译者应着力综合...
