《地质滑坡指导手册》英汉翻译报告

　　The Landslide Handbook–A Guide to Understanding Landslides(《地质滑坡指导手册》(译))由成都理工大学地质灾害防治与地质环境保护国家重点实验室委托作者进行翻译。该手册不仅加强国内学者对国外文献知识的学习,同时增进其他人员对地质灾害的基础认知。本报告以该手册的翻译工作为基础,作者负责的部分为20,412字。该手册属于地质科技文本,与文学类翻译不同,有其自身的特点和要求;而中英文在用语习惯、语言特征等方面也存在较大差异,致使译者在翻译过程中遇到较多难点。因此,译前,本报告对文章语言特征进行分析,介绍原文特点。译中,译者在尤金·奈达功能对等理论指导下,通过案例分析,分别从词汇、句法及语篇层面来阐明翻译过程中的难点及相应翻译技巧与方法的使用。在词汇层面,由于文本专业性较强,地质专业术语较多,因此译者查阅专业词汇辞典后,对比平行文本,选出适宜的译文。在句法层面,由于文本多被动句、名词化结构、长难复杂句,因此译者采用了语态转化,词性转化,拆分、重组等翻译技巧。在语篇层面,由于原文为避免重复或起强调作用,出现了省略或重复现象,因此译者采用增译...
