基于认知语法的英语复杂处所构式研究

本文意在探索英语复杂处所构式,即由两个或多个相邻简单处所表达式构成的构式。尽管前人在处所介词短语和简单处所构式方面的研究汗牛充栋,但鲜有研究专注于简单处所表达如何融合成为复杂处所构式。因此,该研究旨在探讨下列四个研究问题:1.复杂处所构式的内部组成成分有哪些?如何对该构式进行分类?2.每一类复杂处所构式有哪些句法特征?3.每一类复杂处所构式有哪些语义特征?4.每一类复杂处所构式的意义建构机制是什么?第一,基于从语料库及前人文献中搜集到的语料,本文研究了复杂处所构式的构成成分。复杂处所构式是由简单处所表达式组成的,这些简单处所表达式又由空间介词和名词短语组成。与常见的简单处所表达式不同,构成复杂处所构式的简单处所表达式也可能包含空间副词和量词。复杂处所构式可以分为嵌套处所构式,准嵌套处所构式和链式处所构式。嵌套处所构式可以进一步分为升序嵌套处所构式和降序嵌套处所构式。第二,复杂处所构式既可以置于小句前端,也可置于中端及末端。复杂处所构式可以整体充当动词补语、小句状语及名词后置定语的角色。但是,复杂处所构式的内部结构较为复杂。在升序嵌套处所构式中,每个简单处所表达式用作其先前的处所表达式中...
