禅宗机缘性会话中举话意义生成机制的语言哲学考察

  本文的研究对象是禅宗公案机缘性会话中的举话现象,具体归类于“祖师禅”,也就是南宗禅法。祖师禅由禅宗初祖菩提达摩传来,传至六祖慧能以下五家七宗的禅法,是明心见性、教外别传之禅法。祖师禅之修法,只在观心本身上做功夫,主张教外别传,注重师承;不立文字,强调顿悟。禅宗以无念为宗,无相为体,无住为本,应无所住而生其心,因无分别心而熄灭妄想,得以真如观自在。这一实质表现在禅宗的语言文字上则为离名相,不立文字的活句,而对活句的理解亦需要以把握佛法实质为前提。举话现象是基于举话人对公案活句的失败意会而做出的转述补救。通过举话,举话人意图实现对公案活句中蕴涵的佛法大义的体悟。本文的研究问题是举话与禅宗机缘性会话的意义生成。本文从语言哲学角度考察举话的意义生成,拟回答三个研究问题:1)禅师在禅宗机缘性会话中为了实现举话,采取了哪些语言手段?2)在禅宗机缘性会话中,举话承担着怎样的功能?这些功能又是如何实现的?3)为什么禅师在与徒弟进行禅宗机缘性会话中,选择并使用举话这一策略?针对以上问题的探究,本文采用定性的研究方法。在紧扣禅宗言义观“不立文字,不离文字”及禅宗直指人心、见性成佛的宗旨前提下,分析《祖堂集...
