厚翻译理论视角下科幻小说《三体》英译文中文化词语的翻译策略研究

　　《三体》是中国作家刘慈欣于2006年发表的一部科幻小说。2015年,刘慈欣凭借美籍译者刘宇昆(Ken Liu)的英文译本获得了第73届世界科幻大会颁发的雨果奖最佳长篇小说奖,这不仅是中国作家第一次获得美国科幻小说的最高奖,也是亚洲人首次获得雨果奖。厚翻译理论是美国非裔哲学家克威姆·阿皮亚(Kwame Anthony Appiah)于1993年提出。该理论旨在通过各种注释、注解等方式将译文文本置于更加丰富的语境下,为译文读者提供更多的有效信息,在原文作者与译文读者间构建沟通的桥梁,从而增加读者对源语文化的理解和尊重。尽管阿皮亚没有提出十分具体的翻译策略,但是他所提出的厚翻译理论能够为译者提供一个平台,让译者以厚翻译的丰富内涵为出发点,结合各种常见的翻译策略对文本进行处理。《三体》的成功引起了公众对于科幻小说这一非主流文学形式的关注,也开始引起了学界对于科幻小说翻译的探讨。与西方国家相比,科幻小说在中国的发展十分缓慢。而此前的翻译研究也多着重于主流文学,专门针对中国科幻小说的翻译研究少之又少。本文试以阿皮亚的厚翻译理论为框架,对《三体》中的文化词汇翻译进行研究和分析,探求在厚翻译的框架下,...
