关联理论与翻译

【摘要】： 翻译是跨语际交际行为，交际法是研究翻译的重要方法之一。交际观历经变迁，从而带动基于交际观方法研究的翻译观的演变。关联理论便是Sperber Wilson提出的从认知角度研究交际的新的方法论。关联理论的重要概念，如认知语境是交际的基础，对交际内容进行交际意图和信息意图的划分，尤为重要的是，关联性，乃至最佳关联性是交际的指导原则，使人们开始以新的认知和语用角度来看待翻译。在关联理论的指引下，寻求话语的关联性成为翻译理解的重要方式，翻译的内容也变成了抑或是交际意图抑或是信息意图，最根本的是，是否传递了最佳关联形成了翻译评判的标准，，落实到最后便是考察话语的语境效果，以及理解该话语所需花费的认知努力，是否在原文与目标语之间对等。本文作者在理论阐述之余，还就李白的《送友人》一诗的四种英译，详细论述了关联理论在翻译中的实际运用及其不足。
