顺应理论在翻译中的应用

【摘要】：维什尔伦(Verschueren)的顺应论认为语言的使用即是在不同意识程度下为顺应交际的需要而不断做出选择的过程。而翻译是跨文化的交际活动——语言使用的一种特殊形式，因此翻译也可从顺应论的视角去研究。语境关系顺应要求译者在做出语言选择时，要顺应译语读者的心理世界、社交世界和物理世界，同时要考虑两种语言不同的衔接原则、互文性的转移和语序规则。语言结构顺应表明语言选择涉及到语言、语码和文体等的选择以及从一系列话语构筑的要素(语音、语素、单词、句子、命题等)中做出的选择，，译者要根据译语的话语构筑原则建构起具体类型的话语或话语束。根据顺应的动态性，译者要考虑时间的顺应、不同语境对语言选择的制约和语言线性结构的灵活变化；同时要顺应译语语言生成的策略，并使互动性意义生成的动态性在译文中得以保留(如会话含义、修辞效果等的传递)。由顺应过程的意识突显性可知，译者要顺应译语的社会心智(社会和认知)，考虑意识的突显程度和元语用意识，这样可以使译者仔细研究相关的句子，提高译文的质量。总之，顺应理论对翻译有着相当重要的指导作用。将顺应理论应用于翻译，为翻译研究提供了一个新的思路，使翻译研究迈向更广阔的空间。
