中美电视访谈节目中话轮转换策略的对比研究

【摘要】：会话是人们日常生活中最常见的一种交际方式。话轮是日常会话的基本结构单位。话轮转换研究是会话分析中的核心问题。语言总是和文化紧密关联,那么具有不同文化背景下的人在会话中所采用的话轮转换策略是否会有所异同呢?本文从此问题出发,以定性分析和定量分析相结合的方式,运用SPSS对中美访谈节目中使用的话轮转换策略分布进行卡方检验,采用对比研究的方法,以两期中国的电视访谈节目《杨澜访谈录》和两期美国的拉里.金电视访谈节目的会话为语料,以Sacks, Schegloff和Jefferson提出的经典话轮转换模型为理论基础,对不同文化背景下的中国人和西方人的话轮转换策略进行对比研究,以期解答如下几个问题：1.中美电视访谈节目中有没有运用到话轮转换策略以及该策略又是怎样分布的?2.如果两节目都用到了话轮转换策略,那么他们在使用话轮转换策略方面有无异同点?有没有显著性差异?3.如何从社会、礼貌原则和文化的角度解释这些异同点? 研究结果表明,在电视访谈中中西方人在运用话轮转换策略方面确实存在异同处。相同点主要表现在：1)参与者所采用的话轮转换策略大致相同。2)在放弃话轮的过程中,中美主持人采用的放弃话轮策略都比各自的嘉宾频率高,且各自都具有显著性差异。3)在维持话轮的过程中,中美嘉宾所采用的话轮维持策略几乎相同且频率都高于各自的主持人,各自都具有显著性差异。4)在抢夺话轮的过程中,中美主持人所采用的话轮夺取的频率虽然远远高于各自的嘉宾和观众,但和其他策略相比,中美主持人和嘉宾使用的话轮夺取策略不多。不同之处主要在于：1)在美国电视访谈中,话轮转换中话语重叠、打断、以及插入的现象屡见不鲜,而中国电视访谈中却并不如此。且美国主持人运用该策略的频率高于中国主持人。2)美国电视访谈中嘉宾运用话轮把持策略的次数远高于中国电视访谈中的嘉宾,且两者具有显著性差异。此外,在找出这些异同点的基础上,本论文还试着从社会、礼貌原则和文化角度对它们进行了解释。
