认知语言学视角下的英汉友情概念隐喻对比研究

在传统修辞学中,隐喻仅被当作一种修辞格来看待,而在新兴的认知语言学中,隐喻被当作一种重要的认知工具,帮助我们更好地了解这个世界。根据认知语言学的奠基人Lakoff和Johnson的观点(1980),隐喻在语言和思维中是无处不在的,人类的概念系统不可避免的由隐喻构成。隐喻在本质上是一种认知现象,具有重要的认知功能,在人类的思维和认知的深层次起作用,同时也在日常生活中以系统的方式出现。 情感是个体独特的主观体验,伴随着外部表现和生理现象。情感的语言表达是反映人类认识和感知世界的重要方式之一,因此一直是认知语言学研究的重要课题。自20世纪80年代以来,中外许多学者对人类的各种情感做了大量研究,而友情作为人类情感中不可缺少的部分却被忽略了。 在这一研究背景下,本文在认知语言学的视角下,从对比的角度通过对大量英汉“友情”概念隐喻的语料分析,对比研究了其概念隐喻表达的异同及原因。研究发现,英汉语中存在大量相同的“友情”概念隐喻,两者都通过“建筑物”、“可占有的物体”、“可发展的有机体”、“经济交换”、“联结”、“工具”、“容器”、“有价值的物品”、“人”、“身体器官”、“旅行”、渴望的／可食的物质...
