语用歧义的认知机制初探——关联视角致力于有意歧义认知机制研究

  作为一种普遍存在的语言现象,歧义一直备受中外学者的关注。但是先前的研究在取得成就的同时也存在着不足:早期进行的是歧义的传统研究即把对歧义的研究主要局限于语义学领域,甚至总把歧义当成是一种语病;近来,随着语言学的发展,语用歧义的研究在成为重点的同时却被过多强调于产生条件、分类及功能的研究;即使从语境的视角研究语用歧义,人们也总是先设定存在着不同语境把歧义套入便可得以解释。 本文的关注点是语用歧义的认知机制研究。从表达动机和语言交际效果把语用歧义分为有意歧义和无意歧义两类,文章重点从关联理论的视角研究有意歧义的认知机制。也就是说:明白一语言在交流中是有意形成多义的,但我们要进行回溯推理揭示这种多意义现象存在的为什么。必须表明的是我们不致力于有意歧义有多少种解释的研究而是探索这种多义现象的运作过程。关联理论用于解读语用歧义最优在于它的认知语境观和它的真实存在于人们理解话语中的语用推理。按照关联理论的观点,话语理解是一种心理认知活动,它离不开人的认知结构及在特定环境中的语境假设能力;话语的理解依赖于语用推理,推理本身也就是一个依赖语境因素的认知过程。关联理论强调语言交际的最佳相关,即交际中的语...
