英汉颜色词国俗语义对比研究

  蓝色的天空,绿色的树,红色的花……颜色充满世界,人们随处可见各种颜色,并对颜色有着种种认识和理解,也不可避免地为颜色添加了许多涵义。各民族语言中都拥有丰富多彩的颜色词,而且这些颜色词总是包含丰富的特殊文化内涵,也就是国俗语义。“国俗语义是指在词汇的概念意义上添加历史文化、民俗风情、地理环境等文化色彩的语义。”(吴友富,2005)随着全球化进程的不断推进和国际交流与合作的日益加强,对英汉语中一些词的国俗语义的对比研究更显示出独特的现实意义。本文将对英汉语言中颜色词的国俗语义进行对比研究。以往很多学者从认知语言学、跨文化交际、编码度理论、基本颜色词理论等视角对颜色词的构成、意义、用法和翻译等进行了许多相关的研究和探讨,但英汉颜色词国俗语义的对比研究仍不多见。本研究以图式理论和跨文化交际理论为理论基础,运用文献资料、定性、定量,以及对比分析等方法,对“红、黄、黑、白、绿、蓝、灰、紫”八种颜色词的国俗语义进行对比研究分析,并进而探讨国俗语义的理解对英语教与学,英汉互译和英汉跨文化交流的启示意义。图式是“对过去的反应和经验的积极组织”(Bartlett,1932),是以等级形式储存于长期记忆里的...
