中美大学生同题英语写作中句式比较研究

  英语句型是多种类型的英语句子及其所包含的各种语法现象所构成的句子形式,是人们对英语各种语言现象进行分析、归纳和总结而形成的句法规律。句型是英语教学中必不可少的组成部分,也是学生学好英语的关键环节。在英语教学过程中,促使学生掌握一系列句型可以使其语言输入更加完整,输出更加地道,从而实现语言学习从知识接受到运用的迁移。本研究以萨丕尔-沃尔夫假说及语料库语言学为理论指导,以亚洲英语学习者国际语料库(ICNALE)中的100篇中国大学生和100篇美国大学生的同题英语议论文为研究对象,以定量及定性分析的方法来探究中美大学生同题英语作文中句式使用的主要特征。其分析统计结果表明,二者在句型使用数量、句长、从句类型、谓语动词及特殊句型的使用情况上存在显著差异,其研究结果如下:1)陈述句在中美学生作文中占主要比例,但与母语者相比,中国学生较多使用疑问句及逗号或分号连接的句子。2)简单句是中国学习者的主要句型,且较少使用复合复杂句,而复杂句是美国学生的主要句型,且美国学生的句长显著高于中国学生。3)在简单句使用方面,中国学生则较多使用“S-V-Od”句型,而美国学生较多地使用双及物动...
