英汉外交委婉语跨文化对比分析

委婉语是一种普遍的语言现象,是人类社会生活中不可或缺的一部分,它可以帮助达成交际任务,维护和谐的人际关系。委婉语长久以来一直为语言学家和学者所关注。他们从不同的角度对委婉语的研究做出了巨大的贡献。然而,在现有的研究中,对使用在外交场合尤其是记者招待会语境中的外交委婉语的研究还比较少。本文在前人研究的基础上,采用比较法,主要从语言构成和语用功能方面,对从中国外交部官网和美国国务院官网选取的22篇英汉记者招待会文本中的委婉语进行分析。在语言构成方面,本文对英汉外交委婉语进行了详细的对比分析;在语用功能方面,本文以礼貌原则和合作原则为切入点,对英汉外交委婉语进行了深度的语用分析,以探索此类语篇中使用外交委婉语来违反或者实施合作原则和礼貌原则的规律,试图发现外交委婉语的交际意图。通过分析本研究发现,在语言构成方面,英汉委婉语有着共同之处,但是受不同文化的影响,两者也存在不同点;在语用功能方面,本文以礼貌原则和合作原则为切入点,对英汉外交委婉语的作用进行了分析。在语用功能方面,作者发现,委婉语在违背合作原则的同时又遵循着礼貌原则,以达到掩盖事实,为自己的行为辩护和表示礼貌的目的。本文通过对英汉外...
