【摘要】： 本文从语言顺应论角度出发,对记者招待会中口译员的角色做了一个初步研究。目前,中西方口译研究都具有跨学科研究的趋势,各种学科组合研究层出不穷。语言顺应论是一个极富解释力和适应性的理论,对口译研究有很强的启示作用。口译是一个复杂的,持续做选择的语言使用过程, 在记者招待会中,口译多为交替传译,受众多为颇为专业的各国记者,而且经常出现含有文化因素的信息,口译员因此承受诸多压力,但同时也扮演着多种角色。本文认为口译员不单纯是一个仅仅顺应语言的结构的传声筒或是被动的翻译机器,口译员在记者招待会这个语境中是一名交流的参与者和共建者,正是由于他的参与,这个交流才得以成功进行,与此同时,译员的表现也影响着交流的进程。译员又是一名文化的中介,在口译的过程中,不同的文化与社会背景,需要译员不断的做出合适的选择,以达到最佳的交际效果。译员又是一名快速学习者,在口译之前悉心准备,在口译这个动态过程中,他不断地遇到新的问题和主题,不断的调整策略,学习相关知识,所以说每一场会议都是一次紧张的学习。 本文最后提出强化口译员角色的三种策略。第一,提高原语和目的语的语言水平,加强理解与表达能力,在语言结构上达到顺应;第二,口译员应通过客观准备以及心态调适,增强自己的心理承受能力,顺应不断变化的物理语境,从而从容应对各种挑战;第三,口译员应该通过专业训练以及日常熏陶,形成敏锐的跨文化意识,顺应相应的文化语境,成为一名成功的文化中介者。
