英汉通感现象的认知研究

【摘要】：本论文主要从认知的角度对中英文的通感现象进行了研究。通感是感觉的混合，是同时发生的让人感觉到的多种感觉，是人在受到一种刺激时产生的多种感觉上的反映。通感是修辞学界原先常用的术语，以往的研究侧重于把通感作为一种修辞手段来进行研究。Lakoff和Johnson的概念隐喻理论的问世，为人们对于其它修辞现象的研究提供了新思路和新方法。有些人从认知的角度对通感进行了研究，并取得一些成果，然而这些研究都还存在不够系统和深入的问题。本文不同于传统的修辞学的角度，尝试借助于概念隐喻理论对于隐喻的研究方法，从认知的角度对通感进行研究。本论文认为，通感和隐喻一样，不仅是一个语言问题，也是人的思维问题。因此，人们对通感的理解也遵循人类的一般认知规律。通感的应用和理解与人类文化有密切联系并且在社会生活各方面都有着广泛的应用。因此，对于通感的认知研究不仅具有理论价值，还有重要的社会意义。 本文共分为五章。第一章为文献综述，介绍了什么是通感，以往的研究对于通感现象的存在与否的争议，尽管在很大程度上通感与比喻存在着相似性，可修辞学领域的研究却把通感排斥于比喻之外。 第二章介绍了Lakoff和Johnson的概念隐喻理论。该理论提出隐喻不仅是语言修辞手段，而且还是人们认知世界的一种思维和行为方式。它对于通感现象的认知研究提供了方法上的指导。 第三章和第四章从认知的角度对通感进行研究，，这是本文的重点所在。第三章证明了通感是一种特殊的认知现象，也是一种特殊的隐喻。论证的角度有通感的本质、起源、功能、认知结构和认知规律等。第四章则对英汉通感现象的异同进行了比较，并从认知的角度分析了产生这些异同的原因。 最后一章结合实例，从认知角度介绍和分析了通感在中英文中的应用，主要阐述了通感在广告、文学和教学等方面的应用特点。通过研究，我们发现通感现象是广泛存在于我们的社会生活之中的，我们总是在自觉或不自觉地应用着通感。
