功能翻译理论视角下的翻译质量评价认同原则

虽然已经有一部分人对翻译质量评价进行过探索性的研究,但就目前而言,翻译质量评价仍然是翻译学研究中最困难的领域之一。 很多翻译理论家试图通过提出一定的评价模型或标准来解决这一问题,但大多数并不成功,要么是因为所提出的模型不能应用于实际的翻译评价,要么是因为通过这些标准得出来的评估结果不可靠。到目前为止,几乎没有人提出能够为大多数人所接受的、既明确又能运用于实践的翻译质量评价体系。 为此,本研究的主要目的是介绍一种实用、可靠的评估准则。本文作者希望通过对翻译过程的深层次探究,帮助评论家对译文做出更公正、合理的判断。 依据功能翻译理论,任何一个翻译活动都有其特殊的目的,而这个目的就是判断译文质量及译者水平的决定性因素。这种以目的为导向的方法在很大程度上能为几乎所有的翻译评价提供合理依据。遗憾的是,功能翻译理论家们没有对“目的”一词进行清晰的界定。在功能翻译理论里,“目的”一词存在三种可能的解读,一是指翻译过程的目标,二是指译文的功能,三是指译者所采用的翻译模式的意图,这也正是功能翻译理论招致诟病的最主要原因。本文作者认同功能翻译理论,尤其是目的论可以作为翻译理论活动的指导方针,但为了避免模糊...
