从功能派的角度看公示语的翻译

　　翻译是将一种语言中的语言和非语言交际符号转移到另一种语言中去的活动。随着中国经济的迅速发展,国际交往也越来越频繁,而公示语的翻译也起着无比重要的作用。在公示语的翻译中,应尽量遵循简洁、易懂、得体三大原则。正如纽马克所说“这种文本必须使用让读者一看就能够明白的语言。”公示语的翻译,首先应该尽量简单化,应将译文读者的文化习惯放在第一位,使译文符合英语表达习惯和思维方式,要选择适当的话语形式来表达语用用意,最终,使外国友人一看即懂,真正达到对外交流和宣传的目的。公示语的目的在于发挥其如下功能:指示功能、提示功能、限制功能、强制功能,给接受者日常生活中提供各个方面的方便。一个好的公示语,必定给中国带来更好的国际形象。 20世纪70年代,德国出现了功能派翻译理论,其代表人物是赖斯、费米尔、诺德,他们认为翻译是一种有目的的行为,翻译过程是由翻译目的所决定的,也就是预期结果决定翻译方法。目的法则是费米尔提出的,它是翻译的最高标准,翻译目的决定翻译的方法和策略。功能加忠诚理论是由诺德提出的,它是德国功能派理论最重要的部分。功能法则意味着制造一个目的语语境。忠诚法则要求译者应该忠实于原文作者。本文旨在从...
